YouTube live streaming coming to Playstation 4 in next update
If you do the majority of your gaming on the Playstation 4 (PS4) and are eager to broadcast your exploits to the whole world on YouTube, you'll soon get your chance. Sony has just provided details on the upcoming 3.00 system update that is starting to roll out to beta testers, and included in the changelog is the addition of YouTube live streaming.
Of course, the PS4 has enjoyed live streaming with Twitch for quite a while now, but this will mark the first time console owners will have easy access to streaming for YouTube — and it couldn't have come at a better time. YouTube Gaming went live just under a week ago, opening up a whole new gaming-specific platform from Google to compete with Twitch.
Sony has to get this update through its beta program first, so it won't be landing for all users for a while. However, if you managed to sign up to be a beta participant, you should be able to test out YouTube streaming, along with all of the other features packed into this update when it is released to testers.
