Xperia X10 gets pinch-to-zoom update
Sony Ericsson has announced the roll-out of a new firmware update for the Xperia X8 and X10 series. The new update adds the long-awaited pinch-to-zoom feature for the X10, originally promised back in November 2010. It also brings support for Arabic, Farsi, Thai and Hebrew, as well as a variety of bug fixes and changes to the Timescape UI on all X8 and X10 devices.
Sony Ericsson says that the new update can be applied over-the-air, or using its PC companion software. Users hoping for further Android OS updates for their X10 and X8 phones will be disappointed, however, as last month the manufacturer confirmed that these devices won't be getting Android 2.2 Froyo.
