Where to buy a used VR headset

Best answer: Swappa is the best place to buy a used PlayStation VR, Oculus Go, or Google Daydream View. Every listing has to go through an approval process to make sure it works and isn't damaged. Even the prices and fees are better than what you would see on competing sites like eBay or Craigslist.

What is Swappa?

Swappa is a user-to-user marketplace for phones, tablets, laptops, cameras, video games, watches, and home tech. This site doesn't charge the sellers a fee to list a product but as a buyer you may experience a small fee when purchasing one. These fees are less than what eBay charges and always included in the listing price.

Swappa does not allow broken or damaged products on their site. Unlike sites like eBay or Craigslist, each product has to go through an extensive approval process to protect the safety of the buyers. Have confidence knowing that if a damaged product is delivered to you that the site has a fantastic support team to help solve your problems in no time.

What do I need to own these headsets?

Jumping into the world of virtual reality is an absolutely thrilling experience. Putting on a VR headset to see a game from a first-person perspective is not only life-changing but incredibly fun. That being said, the first thing you want to do is make sure you have everything required to use the VR headset that you're interested in buying.

PlayStation VR

You need a PlayStation 4 to use a PlayStation VR (PSVR). The most important thing you'll need is at least 6 feet of play space to work with. To see more tips and tricks check out our Ultimate Guide for owning a PlayStation VR.

Oculus Go

You don't need a console, phone, or computer to use the Oculus Go. This headset only supports 3 degrees of freedom (3DoF) so you don't need that much space either. 3DoF means you can't walk around with the headset on. All of the games and experiences are played standing in place or sitting down. To see more tips and tricks check out our Ultimate Guide for owning an Oculus Go.

Google Daydream View

The Google Daydream View requires a compatible phone to use. All of the phones that work with this headset are strictly Android. If you're an iPhone user you will need access to an Android phone in order to use it. This headset supports 3 degrees of freedom (3DoF) so you don't need any walking space. All of the games and experiences are played standing in place or sitting down. To see more tips and tricks check out our Ultimate Guide for owning a Google Daydream View.
