Vodafone UK abandons plans to sell Galaxy Tab 10.1v, will stock new, slimmer Tab 10.1 instead
Vodafone UK has announced that it's abandoning its plans to offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v, instead opting sell its slimmer, lighter sibling -- the "new" Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Confused? The 10.1v is the new name for the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 that was unveiled shortly before Mobile World Congress, only to be trumped by a redesigned model a couple of months later. The heavier, bulkier 10.1v was due to be sold exclusively through Vodafone (hence the "V"), but it now seems that in the UK at least, this will not be the case.
Vodafone confirmed the change in an email to customers who had pre-registered for updates on the 10.1v's availability, but did not give any details of pricing or availability for the new Tab 10.1.
