Verizon's holiday deal takes 50 percent off select Android phones
Verizon is running a holiday promotion for those who are willing to sign a two-year contract with the carrier. Through the deal, Android smartphones priced at $199 or higher with a contract will be discounted by 50 percent, meaning the new, expensive Android flagship you've been eyeing could start as low as $99.
Through regular price drops, most phones are already priced under the $199 threshold and only a few phones qualify for the promotion in Verizon's lineup — specifically the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Motorola Droid Turbo, and Sony Xperia Z3v. Additionally, Verizon is running a special on the Moto X to bring that phone down to $99 as well.
- Verizon Galaxy Note 4: $149, down from $299
- Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo: $99, down from $199
- Verizon Sony Xperia Z3v: $99, down from $199
- Verizon Moto X: $99, down from $149
