Software bugs delay O2 UK's Xperia Play launch
British network O2 has announced that it's delaying its launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play due to bugs discovered in the phone's software. In a post on O2's blog, testing head Stuart Hibberd says that it won't be able to hit the previously-announced April 1 release date, as it's still working with Sony Ericsson to iron out the issues discovered in testing.
O2 hasn't published a revised release date for the Xperia Play, but based on the way this sort of thing usually works, we'd expect the delay to be a matter of weeks rather than months. [O2 UK Blog] Thanks to Chris for the tip!
