This is a lightweight flashlight that's only 2.2 ounces and made with an anodized aluminum housing. You can switch between a low output 22 Lumen mode, which is great for reading and performing small tasks, or a high output 224 Lumen mode for when you really need to fill a room with light or find something in the dark. There is an exposed click-type tailcap switch and you can use that to switch between a momentary mode or a constantly on mode.

It is also water resistant, so it can hold up when used in the rain or left in the garage. The flashlight is IPX7 rated, which means it can withstand water to the point of even being submerged in it for up to 30 minutes. And it gets that resistance thanks to an O-ring seal.

Pelican protects its gear with a limited lifetime warranty. The flashlight comes with the AAA batteries you need to operate it, but you can always stock up on more just in case.
