What you need to know
- Samsung is rolling out a new update for the mid-range Galaxy A51 and A71 phones.
- The update brings several camera features from the Galaxy S20 series to the two phones, including a Pro mode.
- With the Pro mode, Galaxy A51 and A71 owners can now take control over things like the shutter speed, ISO, and exposure levels.
Samsung rolled out the One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy A51 in May this year. Unlike Samsung's 2019 flagship phones, however, the mid-range phone did not receive any of the new camera features from the Galaxy S20 series. Surprisingly, Samsung is now rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A51 with Galaxy S20 camera features such as Pro mode.
According to the folks at SamMobile, the update arrives as version A515FXXU3BTF4. Apart from the Pro mode, it also brings other new camera features such as Night Hyperlapse, Single Take, and My Filters.
Along with the new software update for the Galaxy A51, Samsung has also released the One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy A71. In addition to all the Galaxy S20 camera features, the One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy A71 also brings other new features such as Quick Share, Music Share, an updated Gallery app, and a new Samsung keyboard.
While the latest updates for the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 aren't widely available right now, we expect them to become available in most regions by the end of this month.
