RhinoShield's SolidSuit cases and HD lenses are perfect for these modern phones
It's hard to overstate how important phone cases are to many of us. Indeed, the case is almost as important as the phone itself — especially if it ends up saving the phone from being scratched, cracked, or worse.
RhinoShield's SolidSuit case is available for a bunch of great Android phones, including the Galaxy S9, S9+, and Note 9, along with others like the OnePlus 6 and Huawei P20 — all of which we'll cover here. We already covered the SolidSuit series for the Pixel 2 and Galaxy S9, but since then the company made improvements to the overall design and added a bunch of new colors like white, as well as awesome prints that will be sure to fit someone's taste. Great for a gift, too!
But we can't forget the lenses, either. RhinoShield went back to the drawing board to redesign both the lenses and adapter for all of these compatible phones, ensuring that the adapter is easy to install inside the case, and the lens fits on clearly.
Let's go through all of these great products one by one.
SolidSuit cases
RhinoShield's lineup of SolidSuit cases uses a custom polymer (that's plastic, in layman's terms) meant to stretch and absorb impact while remaining rigid and strong. In fact, the material is called ShockSpread for that very reason. Here's what the company says about it:
The newer model, which is showcased on all the phones here, is lighter and stronger than previous versions while remaining durable and flexible. They're also layered with beautiful materials like carbon fiber or a matte rubberized coating that resists oils and scratches. And then there's the prints, which add a bit of flair to each classic style. There are dozens to choose from, and the ones we received for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ look absolutely dope. So, so great.
The good news is that even though these new SolidSuit cases are just as protective as previous generations, they're 22% thinner than before, making them much less bulky to use. Combined with an Add-on lens and adapter, the SolidSuit case becomes the ultimate photography companion!

The Lenses
There are two lenses compatible with the new SolidSuit cases and adapters:
- Wide + Macro $23.98 (was $30)
- 4K HD Wide + Macro $51.98 (was $65)
Both of these lenses are fantastic two-in-one products, easily twisting onto any of the compatible phones as long as they have the proper adapters installed.
Wide + Macro
The Wide + Macro has a default viewing angle of 110-degrees, making it really wide. Because it's so small, there's a tiny bit of distortion at the corners of each photo, but that's OK because the effect is pretty great. Even better — twist off the larger piece of the lens and there's an incredible macro lens that gets super close to the subject. RhinoShield says that these lenses are certified for HD video capture, too.

4K HD Wide + Macro
The 4K HD Wide + Macro lens has a slightly narrower 105-degree viewing angle, and because the glass is larger and sharper, there's considerably less distortion. It's also over twice the price. Thankfully, the redesigned adapter keeps the larger lens in place with no wobble even while moving the phone. RhinoShield says these lenses are certified for 4K video capture.
