PayPal announces app for Android Wear
PayPal has announced an app for Android Wear. The app will initially roll out to PayPaly's beta community, eventually rolling out to all Android Wear devices in the coming weeks. The app will let users check in to pay at local stores, redeem offers, receive payment notifications, all on their Android Wear device. PayPal also posted some screenshots of the app.
This isn't PayPal's first foray into apps for wearables, nor their deep integration with Android devices. Back in April, PayPal released an app for Samsung's Gear 2 and Gear Fit devices. With the release of the Galaxy S5, the company took advantage of the device's fingerprint sensor to build secure mobile payments into their Android app.
