Paramount Plus: Price, shows & how to try for free
This guide covers everything you need to know about the Paramount+ streaming service.
Thanks to the merger with the Showtime app, subscribers now have more options for binge-watching their favorite shows. You can choose from Star Trek shows like Discovery, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine. There are various categories, such as Originals, Dramas, Classics, Comedies, and more.
But even though all this sounds great, you can't help but ask questions such as where I can watch it, whether it currently has a free trial, and how much I'll have to spend a month. The following guide will answer all those questions and more.
Paramount Plus
Paramount Plus is the hub for all the content you don't want to miss from networks including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and more.
What is Paramount Plus?
Paramount Plus is a streaming service owned by, well, Paramount. This self-described "Mountain of Entertainment" pulls its content from the Paramount Pictures and CBS libraries. You get access to popular content from networks like Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, and beyond. Whether you want to watch RuPaul's Drag Race, Spongebob Squarepants, or hit films like Top Gun: Maverick, Paramount Plus is where you can find all of your favorite content in one place, and typically for less than you'd pay with a competing service like Netflix or Max.
Paramount Plus and Showtime are now one, and if you want to enjoy what they offer, you can easily sign up for the Paramount Plus with Showtime plan, but it does have a limitation of excluding live TV and a few shows. Speaking of paying, let's dive into the plan options and discuss how much Paramount Plus costs.
How much does Paramount Plus cost?
As we noted above, Paramount Plus formally merged with Showtime. Since then, the ad-supported Essential plan has increased to $5.99/month or $59.99/year. Otherwise, the plan remains the same, with access to the entire Paramount Plus streaming library, plus NFL on CBS live and 24/7 live news.
In addition to tens of thousands of titles, this Paramount Plus with Showtime plan is ad-free except for live TV and a few shows. It allows you to download up to 25 titles for offline viewing. Price increases are never fun, but this is a ton of content. And again, you're still paying less than you would for comparable plans from other streaming services.
Are there any Paramount Plus deals?
The best way to save on your Paramount Plus subscription is by choosing an annual plan instead of a monthly one. The annual plan saves you more than 15% off the total cost, though it must be paid in full when you sign up. An even better deal is reserved for students: You can save 25% by signing up with student credentials at Paramount Plus.

T-Mobile customers can add a Paramount+ subscription right to their bills by subscribing to one of the carrier's postpaid wireless or home internet plans. This allows you to manage your payments through one single bill, which streamlines the process. If you're already a Paramount+ subscriber, you don't have to cancel your subscription since you can add your existing account.
You can also sign up through Walmart, and those with a Walmart Plus membership can get access to Paramount+ for free as part of their subscription.

The Walmart Plus subscription service is giving away a free Paramount Plus Essential subscription. New and existing Paramount Plus subscribers will get to enjoy this deal when they sign up for Walmart Plus, in addition to all of the benefits of a Walmart Plus membership, such as free delivery and discounted fuel. You can pay to upgrade to the ad-free plan if you prefer.

While the parental control feature is OFF by default across profiles, all you need to do is go to settings and click one toggle. Once you do that, you'll be prompted to create a four-digit PIN, which will be required to watch any restricted content on that profile moving forward.

I had P+ for free & am a paying customer now. Going to have to cancel it as it is the worst app I have ever used. Have it on three Firesticks on Fios & on another stick on Comcast at my boat. ALL four suffer from stuttering, freezing & then just halting & reverting to the P+ home page. All the content in the world is no good if you can"t access it.AC News said:Along with tons of content from networks like BET, MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and CBS, the Paramount Plus streaming service features original shows, classic Paramount films, and more.

I've cleared cache & tried both 2.4 & 5 gig with no improvement. Even their commercials freeze. I added a 64 Gig memory stick & moved the P+ app to that. No change.
Anybody else having these problems?
Thanks
Al
P.S. I apologize for jumping on your news brief. -

The worst streaming app I have. Really not reliable. Sometimes cannot finish an episode because it won't work on any device (Several TVs and 2 tablets and phone)
