Own a PlayStation 4? You kind of have to buy 12 months of PS Plus for $40
We're big fans of the PlayStation 4 around here at AC, and as anyone who's spent any amount of the time with the console will know, PlayStation Plus is a pretty incredible package.
Basically Sony's version of Xbox Live for the PS4, PlayStation Plus allows you to play games online with your friends, score exclusive discounts on games + movies + TV shows in the PlayStation Store, and even get a collection of games for free every single month.
PlayStation Plus regularly costs $60 for a full year, and while that's a pretty good deal considering how much you get with it, Amazon's currently got it discounted to just $40.
Saving $20 on a gaming membership might not sound very exciting on paper, but if you sign up right now, you can hop on your PlayStation 4 and grab Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami for free. If you bought both of those titles on their own, it'd regularly cost you $60. Plus, don't forget that you get at least two additional free games every single month. Last month, PlayStation Plus subscribers got Friday The 13th: The Game, Laser League, Here They Lie, and Knowledge is Power (a combined total value of $85.). That's not even accounting for the free PS3 and PS Vita games that are available, too.
For an example of the kind of sales you can expect, here's just a sample of what PlayStation Plus members are being offered right now on the PlayStation Store:
- Battlefield 1 for $3.99 (80% off)
- Dragon Age: Inquisition - Game of the Year Edition for $9.99 (75% off)
- Fe for $4.99 (75% off)
- Mass Effect: Andromeda - Deluxe Recruit Edition for $9.99 (75% off)
- Need for Speed Deluxe Edition for $6.24 (75% off)
- Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition for $9.99 (75% off)
In addition to this being available to new PlayStation Plus subscribers, existing ones can also take advantage of it and stack it on top of their current plan. So, if you still have 4 months of PS Plus remaining, you can buy this 12-month deal for $40 and extend your subscription to 16 months. In other words, anyone with a PS4 should hop on this. Like, right now.
