Prepare to turn up the volume with MaxxAudio in planned OnePlus One update
The OnePlus team have today announced a new partnership with Waves Audio, the company behind MaxxAudio. The new collaboration between the two companies will see MaxxAudio loaded on the One Plus One, which will be bundled in the new year with an update from Cyanogen that will "transform your audio and listening experience".
If you're not familiar with MaxxAudio and what the technology will bring to your OnePlus One, it's a package of psychoacoustic sound enhancements. Simply put, this update will enable your Android-powered smartphone to produce deeper bass, clearer highs, increased volume levels and more immersive sound from speakers, headphones and connected Bluetooth hardware.
MaxxAudio on the OnePlus One is said to be specifically custom tuned for the built-in speaker, as well as the Silver Bullet and JBL E1+ headphones, and will be available in AudioFX. Various options can be tweaked to achieve the desired end result. As noted above, this update should hit OnePlus One devices early next year.
