After officially confirming plans of launching an affordable new smartphone series, OnePlus has now hinted that the first phone under the new series could carry the 'Nord' branding. As you can see in the image below, one of the promotional materials shows off the "Nord" branding.
Since OnePlus has started teasing the upcoming phone, we expect an official confirmation about the phone's name to arrive very soon. OnePlus is also likely to confirm the phone's launch date within the next few days. As confirmed by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau yesterday, the phone will also be launched in Europe. Consumers in North America, however, will have to wait longer to get their hands on the new affordable smartphone series from OnePlus.
The OnePlus Nord is rumored to come with a 90Hz AMOLED display and Qualcomm's 7nm Snapdragon 765G chipset. In the camera department, the phone is said to have a quad-camera setup at the rear, featuring a 48MP main sensor. The phone is also expected to offer 5G connectivity and 30W fast charging. We expect the phone to be launched at an online event in India on July 10.
