Mi TV Stick leak reveals specs and prices of Xiaomi's Fire TV Stick rival
What you need to know
- Key specs of Xiaomi's upcoming Android TV-based Mi TV Stick have surfaced.
- The Mi TV Stick will apparently be available in two variants: Full HD and 4K.
- The Full HD version is tipped to be priced at $49, while the 4K version might cost $133.
Xiaomi teased the launch of its first streaming stick based on Google's Android TV platform last month. Ahead of its launch, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Stick has been listed online by a few retailers, revealing nearly all its key specs and pricing for various markets. An early unboxing video of the Mi TV Stick has surfaced as well, giving us our best look yet at the upcoming streaming stick.
Xiaomi Mi TV Stick listings on AliExpress and GearBest suggest the streaming stick will be offered in two versions. The Full HD version will come with 1GB of RAM and a $49 price tag, while the 4K Mi TV Stick will have 2GB of RAM and a $133 price tag. Since the Mi TV Stick hasn't been officially launched yet, it is possible that the prices listed by AliExpress and GearBest aren't accurate. It is highly unlikely that the 4K Mi TV Stick will be more than twice as expensive as the Mi Box S.
