Lollipop, Android 5.0 5.1

Android 6.0 Marshmallow increased its install share on all Android devices from 2.3% in March to 4.6% in April.

Lollipop is now installed on 21 percent of active Android devices, up around 3 percent from August.

Google has issued its monthly report on the distribution of Android versions across devices, showing that Lollipop is now on 18.1 percent of Android smartphones.

Sony today announced on the company's mobile blog that the Xperia Z family of handsets will be updated to Android 5.1, starting from July. The company will also be updating other devices too.

U.S. Cellular has started pushing the Android 5.1 update to both the 2014 Moto X and Moto E LTE today, bringing a number of tweaks and improvements to both devices.
