Lollipop update will not be rolling out today for the HTC One M8 GPe
Mo Versi, VP of Product Management at HTC, took to Twitter to reveal that Lollipop for the HTC M8 GPe (Google Play edition) will not be hitting channels today, due to the software needing a "re-spin". It comes as bad news for those who are eagerly awaiting the rollout of Android Lollipop 5.0 for the device. The company is currently waiting for approval from Google, so it shouldn't be far off.
@AshDeezy @htc Sorry Ash, New SW required. Will advise once approval from Google is received. Thanks.@AshDeezy @htc Sorry Ash, New SW required. Will advise once approval from Google is received. Thanks.— Mo (@moversi) November 21, 2014November 21, 2014
Versi failed to go into detail as to what has been altered (or patched) before the delayed update is eventually released to the public. While we continue to wait for both HTC and Google to finalize the release and get the update out, be sure to check out our Lollipop 5.0 review to see what's new in Google's latest version of Android. We'll keep an eye out and let you all know should we learn more.
