How to watch Super Bowl 2020 4K live stream online for free
February 2 will be here before you know it, and then it's Super Bowl 2020 time. Odds are that you'll want to stream the Super Bowl action at home, and there are a lot of ways to do that this year. Unfortunately, not all of them are offering 4K streams, which means that you won't be able to maximize the resolution of that new TV you just bought for the big game. For Super Bowl 2020, Fox is the channel of choice for broadcasting the big game.
If you want to stream in 4K, your best bet this year will be via Fox Sports. Creating a free account will score you access to the free 4K stream, and you won't need any additional subscriptions to watch the big game. Once registered, you can use the Fox Sports App or the FoxSports website to see all the coverage.
The Fox Sports app is available on both iOS and Android devices, as well as Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Xbox, AndroidTV, and Samsung's Smart TVs. For these streaming platforms, the 4K option is only available on the 4K variants of the Apple TV, Roku sticks, and Fire TV Sticks. If you don't have one already, there's still enough time to pick one up and get it delivered in time for the big game.
- Fire TV Stick 4K - $35 at Amazon
- Roku Streaming Player 4K - $45 at Amazon
- Apple TV 4K - $179 at Amazon
In addition, Verizon has announced that it will stream the game in 4K for customers who have a Fios TV One set top box at home. You can upgrade to the new box and still have things set up in time for the big game, but you'll need to hurry.
Comcast will also be offering up a 4K broadcast for the Super Bowl. You'll need to be an X1 customer with a 4K TV and eligible set top box (XG1v4s and Xi6s). Be sure to reach out to your cable provider to see if you are able to watch in 4K as well.
Update: Fox and Roku have reached another agreement so that the apps can stay on Roku Streaming Media Players. This means you'll still be able to download and use the Fox Sports app to live stream the Super Bowl.
