Fossil teases upcoming Android Wear smartwatch, launching this holiday season
Fossil has teased a new smartwatch powering Android Wear. The company, best known for its rather luxurious products, showed off three upcoming products that will be released as part of the Fossil Q family. The new wearables will include a connected bracelet, connected watch (with no display), as well as the Android Wear smartwatch.
Usual "smart" features were highlighted, such as a companion app for each connected device, as well as tracking functionality, notification management and more. Fossil is attempting to market the smartwatch as a fashionable accessory with a connected timepiece, much like Apple with its own Apple Watch. Other than that, we know little about the Android Wear-powered watch itself.
While we'll be sure to keep you all in the loop with the launch of these new Fossil wearables, the company does have the option to register your interest, should you be holding out to purchase one.
