Diablo Immortal: What is an Ultimate Ability and how does it work?
Diablo Immortal is an upcoming entry in the Diablo series that will allow players to experience the world of Diablo at nearly anytime on your phone. Currently set to be an isometric, top-down, hack-and-slash title that combines the feel of a Diablo game with the added benefit of an MMO experience all on mobile, Diablo Immortal hopes to give fans the iconic feeling of playing a Diablo title while away from the confines of a PC. While there isn't a lot of information out on the game just yet, one thing that Blizzard has detailed is some of the Ultimate Abilities that each class will have. Here's everything we know about what an Ultimate Ability will look like in Diablo Immortal.
What is an Ultimate Ability in Diablo Immortal?
As of now, Blizzard has confirmed that there will be six classes in the upcoming Diablo Immortal. Each class will have four base abilities that presumably charge up over time. However, each class also will receive an Ultimate Ability, which is a new base game mechanic, that, according to a company update made in November, will see players able to "augment" their normal attacks.
During BlizzCon 2019, a brief gameplay trailer was also released that showcased some of the Ultimate Abilities, giving fans a good preview of what to expect when it's time to unleash chaos.
What are each class's Ultimate Ability?
While Blizzard hasn't revealed every class's main abilities, they have detailed some Ultimate Abilities for four of the classes. Below, you'll find the Ultimate Abilities for the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, and Wizard classes in Diablo Immortal:
Barbarian: Blood and Fury -- Empowers the Lacerate ability by increasing its attack range, repelling enemies, and providing reinvigorating life steal with each hit.
Demon Hunter: Bullet Rain -- Empowers the Crossbow Shot ability by allowing it to hit multiple enemies with each attack and increasing your movement speed.
Monk: Lightning Flux -- Empowers the Fists of Thunder ability by allowing you to teleport to new targets and generating a thunderstorm whenever an enemy is defeated.

Wizard: Full Power -- Empowers the Electrocute ability by increasing the number of targets the electricity can bounce to and allowing you to continue movement while attacking.
Two classes - the Necromancer and Crusader - have yet to be given much in the way of actual class abilities or Ultimate Abilities, so fans looking forward to picking those characters will have to wait a little bit longer for more information.
Will there be more Ultimate Abilities?
Currently, there's no information on whether or not classes will get more than one Ultimate Ability in Diablo Immortal. Given the fact that Blizzard plans for each class to receive multiple base attacks and abilities, however, it's totally possible that players will be able to unlock more than one Ultimate Ability. Doing this would not only allow for more things to play for, but would give players more options to choose from when building a class. For now, though, we'll have to wait and see.
