We got a Dyson vacuum through a similar deal for our home, and it has worked out great. The nice thing about these vacuums is just how little maintenance they need. The dustbin is super easy to empty. The battery lasts long enough for most jobs. Maybe when we're doing a deep cleaning of the whole house we might have to charge it again, but other than that it's not going to give you many problems.
On this particular model, the vacuum takes about four hours to fully charge and the battery lasts up to 40 minutes depending on the mode you need and the tools you're using. Motorized tools will obviously drain the battery a bit faster, and you can use modes like the Max suction power to drain the battery even more but give you a really powerful burst of fade-free suction. That's great for the deep dirt, the pet hairs, and the long carpets. The vacuum is also designed to save battery power in some ways like the instant-release trigger that preserves some juice when the vacuum isn't in use.
