Carrier models of the LG G4 can now be rooted
While the unlocked version of the LG G4 has had a root method for a little while, the harder nuts to crack — namely the versions offered by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon and others without an easily unlockable bootloader — have had to wait.
Not any longer.
Be warned, this one isn't for the novice. You'll need a handful of tools, the ability to closely follow a long list of directions, and the right file for your version to get it done, and a busted G4 is always a possibility. Read everything and ask questions before you do anything.
In any case, shout out to thecubed and everyone who helped him with this one. As long as the carriers try to lock them down, smart developers will work on opening them up.
I wouldn't want it any other way.
