Bigscreen VR hosts Selma, a powerful American Civil Rights movie, for free

Paramount Pictures, director Ava Duvernay, and Bigscreen VR are partnering up to bring Selma to viewers for free, starting with a live broadcast this Saturday, June 13, at 7PM ET on the Bigscreen VR platform. If you're not able to attend the live movie screening happening on Saturday, don't worry, as Bigscreen will be offering Selma on-demand for free at any time during the month of June 2020 (ending June 30).
To get Bigscreen VR, head on over to your VR headset's store and look for the Bigscreen Beta listing. Bigscreen VR is free to download and use and offers folks a way to connect to anyone in a social setting, from virtual living rooms to movie theaters. Bigscreen VR is available on almost all major headsets, including all SteamVR headsets (including Valve Index, HTC Vive, etc.), all Windows Mixed Reality headsets (including Samsung Odyssey, HP Reverb, etc.), Oculus PC (Oculus Rift & Rift S), Oculus Quest, and Oculus Go. PlayStation VR support is still planned and forthcoming.
Selma tells the story of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his followers as they march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965 to fight for suffrage of black Americans, culminating in the signing of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by President Lyndon Johnson. The film was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 2014.
