Best Buy's Black Friday sale is one of the biggest events on the shopping calendar and 2020's sale is now underway! Being one of the largest retailers in the country, Black Friday at Best Buy gives you the opportunity to snag deals on electronics and TVs, home appliances, toys, games, and much more.

Given the current health crisis, Best Buy's Black Friday sale is going to be very different this year with fewer "doorbuster" offers encouraging in-store crowds and more early deals available online. In fact, Best Buy is giving its staff Thanksgiving off this year to further discourage foot traffic.

Don't see this news as a sign that Black Friday is being cancelled, though. The event is simply shifting its focus to online (and early) shoppers which is great for those that still want to make the most of the event while remaining safe at home, though possible shipping bottlenecks might mean you want to get your orders in sooner rather than later.

We've seen Best Buy's Black Friday ad and have had a taste of some of its sales already, but the main event is now live with tons of deals to be had. See below for a selection of the best offers.

Let's dive into the details of Best Buy's Black Friday 2020 sale.

What are the best Black Friday deals at Best Buy?

The Best Buy Black Friday ad is chock-full of great deals including tech, smart home, TVs, laptops, appliances, toys, and more. Though the bulk of the deals go live in mid-November, many of them are already available right now and we've picked out the best of those early deals and rounded them up below.

When is Best Buy's Black Friday sale?

Black Friday is always the Friday after Thanksgiving, making it November 27 this year. Traditionally, retailers would kick off their big sales early on the Friday morning with the discounts, and the hype, running all the way through the weekend.

However, this year is going to be a little different in a number of ways and that includes when the deals begin. Best Buy already announced and ran some super-early Black Friday deals on October 13 and 14 to compete with Prime Day. At that time, the retailer also announced that the rest of the Black Friday deals would be announced later in October.

Now that we're into actual Black Friday season, we have all of the details and Best Buy's full Black Friday ad to take a look at. Even better, most of the deals are available to shop rigth now so you can get a head start on your holiday shopping already.

There are hundreds of promotions and price drops to make the most of. The flash sale gives you the opportunity to score Black Friday pricing on a ton of popular products and we've picked out the best deals above.

Given potential issues with shipping towards the holidays with what is likely to be a much busier online shopping period at all retailers, it makes sense to get some deals out there sooner. A surge in footfall not all that desirable in store either, so it makes sense that we'd see deals earlier and more spread out.

The retailer also set out its full Black Friday schedule of events so you know when to shop for the best savings, check it out below.

  • Oct. 29—Nov. 1: Early Black Friday deals
  • Nov. 5—8: The Wish List Sale
  • Nov. 11: The Treat Yourself Sale
  • Nov. 12—14: Our Coolest Deals Sale
  • Nov. 16—17: My Best Buy Early Access Sale.
  • Nov. 22: Black Friday Starts Now
  • Nov. 26—27: New Black Friday deals appear
  • Nov. 28: Cyber Sales

Will Best Buy price match Black Friday deals from elsewhere?

When you look across retailers during Black Friday, you often see many similar deals. Sometimes, the manufacturer will have set the lowest price and other times retailers will look to what the competition is doing and meet the same pricing without you needing to ask.

Throughout the year, Best Buy offers price matching if you find a better deal at a store a 25-mile radius, as well as several online retailers, but it usually blacks out its price matching policy from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday meaning it's not possible to match other retailers' Black Friday offers.

When will the Best Buy Black Friday ad leak?

Last year, Best Buy's ad scan was available on November 7 which was around three weeks ahead of the event itself. Many products were also available at their Black Friday prices immediately.

This year, we've got Best Buy's Black Friday ad earlier than ever with it being released on October 29. You can check out the entire ad here. A whole host of deals are available already so you can get a headstart on your holiday shopping.

What will the Best Buy Black Friday hours be?

We know that Best Buy is closed on Thanksgiving with staff being given the holiday off for the first time in many years. It usually stays open during the holiday with an early closure, before re-opening for Black Friday shoppers early on Friday morning.

This year, Black Friday has confirmed that it will open for Black Friday from 5am local time with a 10pm closing time. Fortunately, the vast majority of Black Friday deals will be available online with many being available before Black Friday itself so you don't have to go to the store.
