Amazon Photos offers unlimited cloud storage and a free $15 promo credit
Keeping track of all your digital photos these days is rough. Switch between a few devices and memory cards and suddenly you've got photos collected in ten different places. Amazon set out to keep all your photos organized, together, and accessible no matter which device you're on with its app Amazon Photos, and now you can even score a free $15 Amazon promo credit when you try it out for yourself. Best of all, the free service offers unlimited, full-resolution photo uploads and backups for all Prime members. For those who aren't Prime members, Amazon Photos offers 5GB photo and video storage for all Amazon customers free of charge.
You'll need a Prime membership to be eligible for this promo credit, and it won't work for anyone on a free 30-day trial, nor anyone who's tried the Amazon Photos app before. However, if you've already paid for at least a month of Prime and are a new user of Amazon Photos, you're eligible for this deal, and there's no reason not to take advantage of it. The Amazon Photos app can be downloaded onto iOS and Android devices, you'll just need to find it in either Apple's App Store or the Google Play store. You can even download a desktop version for Mac or PC.
To receive your $15 promo credit, you'll need to first download a version of the app and then log in with your Prime account. Once you're in, Amazon will ask a few questions on how you'd like to upload photos and, based on your selections, may even start uploading right then and there. Uploading a single photo to the Amazon Photos app will earn you the $15 credit, so either choose for Amazon to back up your photos or select a photo to upload. Just like that, you've earned $15.
The promo credit will be sent to your email within seven days, so be sure to keep an eye out for it as it expires on October 31. It can be used towards purchases of $25 or more and only on items shipped and sold by Amazon.com. More offer details can be found here.
Amazon Photos is a fantastic app to have if you own a Fire TV device like the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (that's currently 50% off for select customers). It allows you to set your uploaded photos as a screensaver so you can view a slideshow of your favorite moments on the big screen.
