Ultimate Ears' Boom 2 and Megaboom pick up Google Now integration
Ultimate Ears is rolling out a firmware update to the UE Boom 2 and Megaboom that brings Google Now and Siri integration to the Bluetooth speakers. With the update, you can press the Bluetooth button and ask Google Now to play music, check the weather, search for nearby restaurants, and much more.
As the speakers are water-resistant, integrating Google Now lets you select and play tunes without having to access your phone. You can install the firmware update through the companion apps for UE Boom and Megaboom.
The UE Boom 2 is available for $179, while the Megaboom retails for $249.
