Android 4.4.4 update brings PS4 Remote Play, hi-res audio and more to Xperia Z2, Z2 Tablet
Sony is finally rolling out the Android 4.4.4 update to the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet, which brings a host of new features, including PS4 Remote Play, high-res audio support, Smart Social Camera and more.
The update, which will be rolled out starting today, features a tweaked battery saving mode for the Xperia Z2 called Ultra Stamina mode, which is claimed to prolong battery life even further. The camera utilities Sony introduced in its latest line of devices are now available as well, which include Sound Photo, AR fun, Multi camera and Face in.
Other features detailed by Sony include smart orientation, which adjusts the screen orientation automatically based on the way you hold the device, along with a record mode that allows you to record on-screen actions. The feature can be accessed by holding down on the power button and selecting "Record Screen."
Availability of the update will be based on the region and carrier. We'll share further availability details as soon as we receive them.
