Kyocera To Make a Android Smartphone

Kyocera Wireless has announced that they will be developing a new smartphone specifically tailored for the Android OS. Kyocera will be working with Wind River, a middleware company that offers UI integration, to create the Android Device.

Though no date was specifically mentioned, it has been reported that Wind River’s systems won’t be ready until mid-2009. So we can assume that the Kyocera Android device will come some time after that timeframe. Anyone excited to see another phone maker jump on the Android bandwagon?
